Hi, my name is Ben, and I’ve been obsessed with ads since I was 12. This is one of the first video I published: it’s a collection of fake ads for IKEA, Playmobils and a pencil sharpener. Yes, it makes no sense.

I grew up analyzing my favorite ads. A lot of them were from Adam Lisagor. His ads felt genuine, like referrals from good friends. I collected them all in a private doc, which eventually became Adsnack.

Here are 3 reasons why ads should be taken more seriously:

1. Ads are an art form: they are constrained to be short, they need to be memorable and they have to be selling something. Clear constraints to be creative!
2. Ads are fascinating because they are great lessons about psychology.
3. Ads are precious because they are time capsules. They are rare artifacts of creativity meets capitalism.
